Only ONE way to know.caliper measure the body and cross-reference with a 'sweet-spot' Zeph body. So I would wonder, then.IS the body design that of the VT-II, or the redesigned Zeph body (which would become the S20 body) ? The 'sought after ' Zephs are the ones with the redesigned body specs, and they are signified by the oval spat keys and the 'cloverleaf' pinky table. and I like the VT-II's.really beautiful toned horns, very unique sonic quality, sorta breath-y).although many unscrupulous sellers try to pass off the early ones as a 'poor man's S20'.which is a complete lie as it is not S20-like. Therefore, the earlier Zephs are not as sought after (I LIKE them, mind you. Their bodies were VT-II bodies, not the body specs which would become the S20 specs. They have the rectangular RH spat keys and the pinky table like the one which THIS horn has. The early Zephs were Voll-True II's, just rebranded. But looking at the horn, the seller is not out of bounds to call it that. Mmmmmmmm.never heard of a 'transitional' Zephyr, myself.
